Para Crianças

For the former children:

Hi everyone!
I wanted to say that this album isn’t just for kids—it’s for everyone!
For the repertoire, I played around with the melodies of all those songs we’ve known since we were little; I drew on memories, my new experiences, and references both old and new—in short, my entire musical history.
I really dug deep into the treasure chest!

The idea came about when the great director and actress Denise Stoklos invited me to create the score for her children’s play;
her daughter Thais Stoklos (a friend of mine and the person responsible for the graphic design) had shown her my second CD, Brasil em 3 por 4, which led to the invitation.
As a longtime fan of Denise, it was a huge honor for me!
The project involved seven songs, and I decided to keep making music for children.

I produced another 8 tracks featuring very special guest appearances by Danilo Moraes, Marcelo Pretto, Ari Colares, and the Galician musician Carlos Núñez, who was visiting Brazil.
You’ll see why I call them “very special”!
Each one bears a master’s touch.

I also wanted to mention that we put thought into the song order on the CD—and into parents’ peace of mind!
The livelier songs are at the beginning and the calmer ones at the end, so the little ones don’t get startled when the CD finishes!
And just look at the booklet Thais prepared for the kids!
It’s designed for them to draw, jump around, sing along, and take us with them wherever they go!
