Workshops, masterclasses, and residencies
Ricardo Herz’s artistic experience translates into practical tools for instrumentalists, students, teachers, and groups interested in Brazilian music, improvisation, and rhythmic language.
Activities can be conducted as one-off sessions or extended programs, in collaboration with universities, conservatories, festivals, orchestras, independent music schools, and social projects.

Topics
Rhythm, groove, and articulation; choro, forró, baião, and other Brazilian musical traditions; improvisation; rhythmic patterns (claves); applied harmony; composition; stage presence; amplification and contemporary techniques for the violin.
The content is tailored to the level, background, and goals of each group, always incorporating musical practice and collective listening.
Teaching experience
Ricardo has taught courses and workshops in Brazil and France, appearing at venues and events such as the Curitiba Music Workshop (Oficina de Música de Curitiba), Ourinhos Festival, CIVEBRA, Sesc Vila Mariana, Instituto Fukuda, and CMDL, in addition to activities linked to festivals and cultural projects.
His approach stems from a background that bridges classical training, Brazilian popular music, and improvisation.
